A good blush can change the whole mood of your makeup. Patrick Ta’s Major Headlines Double-Take Crème & Powder Blush Duo gives you two ways to wear your colour: a softer matte powder and a more radiant crème.
The brand listed the compact at US$40 on September 28, 2026. The interesting detail is the application order: Patrick Ta puts powder on first, then crème.
Try the layers in reverse
In Ta’s tutorial, the powder goes onto the apples of the cheeks and is diffused toward the temples. A small amount of crème is then pressed over the same area for a more luminous finish.
If you usually apply cream before powder, this is a technique to experiment with. Start lightly so you can see how the second layer looks over your own base. The tutorial describes a look, rather than guaranteeing wear time on every skin type.
You can also use either side alone. A matte cheek one day and a more radiant one the next is a perfectly good reason to enjoy a two-formula compact.
Pick the colour you want to wear
The range includes pinks, peaches, berries and deeper tones. Look at swatches on skin alongside the pan photographs; your complexion and base makeup will affect how a shade appears.
Picture it with your usual lip colour. Do you want the blush to be the soft finishing touch, or the feature that catches your eye in the mirror?
We haven’t wear-tested the duo. Its appeal here is the choice of finishes and the layering method, especially if you enjoy spending a little time on your cheeks. The listed price is from the original check; confirm your shade and current total before ordering.
